How to support Our food rescue partners

Many nonprofit or charitable organizations rely on donated foods that they serve or distribute on-site.  These organizations operate under a public health permit and are familiar with safe food handling requirements. If an organized event or charitable organization wants to donate to a food rescue organization, they must comply with local and state safe food handling guidelines.

Food rescue organizations often operate on limited budgets and rely on volunteers to collect food donations, prep and pack food and distribute food to clients.

There are many ways to get involved: Donate food, Receive Food (nonprofit organizations only), volunteer and join the Coalition.
