The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) oversees the implementation of Senate Bill (SB) 1383, California’s organic waste reduction law. CalRecycle provides guidance, resources, and funding to help jurisdictions, commercial edible food generators, and food recovery organizations comply with SB 1383 requirements and increase edible food recovery across the state.
Please contact Food Share to access their network of 160 pantries across the Ventura County region. Food Share can assist your business in determining what food donations are acceptable, will provide value to the community, and identify the best partner organization(s) to receive your donations.
